The followup to “The Second Coming Was a Moonrise,” released in May, “A Moonrise Was The Second Coming” features material from the same sessions. The album is set for release on December 11, and the first two singles are available now.
Says Marc, “It’s believed by some that after an event called the Second Coming, certain things will be left behind and cast into a lake of fire. The songs on 'A Moonrise Was the Second Coming' come from the same sonic universe as 'The Second Coming Was a Moonrise'. But unlike those poor lost souls cast into the furnace prepared for the Devil and his angels, we just couldn’t leave these songs behind.
So maybe the only Second Coming we're getting is a moon rising over the horizon, music that makes the heart ache, and the slow realization that we're still losing the ones we love - and that it hurts because they're the ones we love... And like so many things, these songs make more sense when connected to the ones that came before them. Maybe we do, too.”
